I am concerned in creating websites since 1998, when I published first version of my historical site (for current version – in Czech only – see dějepis.com). Since that time I have created many sites of different sizes. I use technologies XHTML and CSS, PHP and mySQL, JavaScript and jQuery. Todays demand for user-friendly editation of contents is complied with CMS (content management systems) such as WordPress, which is used also for this website.
What should be prepared for new website?
- collect content of future site (texts, photos) (I can help with structure)
- consider how often it will be necessary to add / change content (websites with regular new articles are in common more frequently visited)
- I recommend to register domain name such as www.yoursite.com (I can arrange that with registrator)
Price of website
Price consists of several items – some of them need to be paid regularly, some are one-time payments.
- domain-name fee (www.yoursite.com) (ca 12 € p.a.)
- webhosting fee (from 24 € p.a.)
- web-design creation by professional graphic designer (one-time payment)
- web-coding (transfer of design into xhtml/css language for correct display in internet browser) (one-time payment)
- creation of template for content management system (CMS) (one-time payment)
- transfer of website content (hourly rate)
- installation and go-live (one-time payment)
- further website maintenance (according to mutual agreement)
